Just a few hours after discovering that Kings of Leon had cancelled their entire European tour — including their headline performance at the Mad Cool Festival 2025 on Thursday — the organisers of the Madrid festival moved quickly to announce their replacements.
British band Muse will headline the first day of the Mad Cool Festival 2025, adding the festival to their European tour and performing what is currently their only confirmed Spanish date. Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard are currently working on a new album, which is rumoured to be ready for late 2025 or early 2026 and will mark their return after Will of the People (2022).
Muse has been announced as part of the Mad Cool Festival 2025 line-up, alongside Nine Inch Nails, Olivia Rodrigo, Gracie Abrams, Alanis Morissette and Weezer. The festival will take place from 10 to 12 July at the Iberdrola Music in Villaverde, Madrid.
Tickets for the festival are now on sale on the official website and on Ticketmaster. The three-day pass costs €199 (+ booking fee), while day tickets start at €89 (+ booking fee).
