In a statement published on social media, we received confirmation that the Nashville band Kings of Leon have cancelled their entire European tour. This is due to an accident involving their singer, Caleb Followill, who broke his foot while playing with his children. This will leave him unable to perform for at least eight weeks.
In the video, Caleb himself points out that “I broke my foot while playing with my children, which was rather serious. It was a scary incident, and I’d rather spare you the details. What I can say is that we were fortunate to have some excellent doctors here in Nashville, who performed emergency surgery on me. They have recommended eight weeks of bed rest and no standing, so unfortunately we have to call off the tour. It’s a shame, as we were really excited about it and had been preparing for a long time. We’ve been in the studio recording new songs, some of which we were going to premiere on the tour. We had a lot of exciting things planned, but now we just have to move on and find a new way forward“.
The North Americans were due to perform at Mad Cool Festival 2025 on Thursday and at O Son Do Camiño at Santiago de Compostela from 12 to 14 June. However, their presence at both events has been cancelled. The English band Kasabian has already been announced as their replacements for O Son Do Camiño.
