Austra, the stage name of Canadian Katie Stelmanis, has just announced a European tour to promote her eagerly awaited new album Chin Up Buttercup (2025). The album is due to be released on 14 November via Domino.
Following the stylistic change introduced in her last album, HiRUDiN (20), which was released some time ago, she presented her new album last August with ‘Math Equation‘, incorporating elements of electronica and baroque sounds that occasionally evoke British new wave bands from the 1980s.
In addition to confirming the album’s release date, the Canadian singer has also announced a world tour to promote it, which will kick off in her native country on 9 January in Ottawa, before moving on to the United States and Mexico, arriving at Sala Villano in Madrid on 28 February and La Nau in Barcelona on 1 March. From here, the tour will continue through Europe, visiting France, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Ireland. It will end on 26 March at the Flux venue in Vienna, Austria.
Tickets for the concerts in Madrid and Barcelona are available to purchase on the Houston Party promoter’s website at a price of €31 (+ booking fee).
