Maruja, an English band who were due to perform in Madrid and Barcelona this weekend, have just cancelled both concerts due to lead singer Harry Wilkinson having tonsillitis.
The band issued the following press release:
“We are very sorry to share the disappointing news that our remaining concerts in Portugal, Spain and France this year have been postponed. Following the postponement of our concerts in Berlin, Zurich and Milan last week for health reasons, we regret to announce that our upcoming concerts in Porto, Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona, Nantes, Le Havre and Paris have also been postponed as a result of these health precautions.
We would like to apologise to all our fans who bought tickets for these concerts. We waited as long as possible in the hope that the health issues would be resolved, but the band’s long-term health must come first. Therefore, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the remaining concerts.
We aim to reschedule all the postponed concerts in 2026 as soon as possible. Please keep hold of your tickets and watch this space for the new dates, which will be announced in the coming days.
