PiL have announced a European tour for spring 2026

1 December 20252 min read

PiL (short for Public Image Ltd), the band led by John Lydon of the Sex Pistols, has announced a European tour for May and June 2026. The European tour will be called ‘This Is Not the Last Tour‘, which is a play on the title of his most famous song. “This Is Not a Love Song”, will feature Lu Edmonds on guitar, Scott Firth On bass and the recent addition of Mark Roberts on the drums

Setting off from Brussels on 3 May, it will visit the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Croatia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Austria, Italy and France, before arriving 29 May at Sala Razzmatazz 2 in Barcelona, and 30 May at Sala BUT in Madrid. The tour will then continue to three more cities in France, before heading to Luxembourg. It will conclude in Cologne, Germany, on 8 June.

The tour follows Lydon having second thoughts after the deaths of his wife, Nora, and his manager and friend, John ‘Rambo’ Stevens, in 2023. As he mentioned in interviews, he thought he would never perform with PiL again. However, the intimate spoken-word tours across the UK between 2024 and 2025 changed his mind. “The crowd was incredibly warm and kept asking me to come back with PiL. Given all this support, I couldn’t just sit back and do nothing”.

Tickets for the Barcelona and Madrid concerts, priced from €35 (+ booking fees), will go on sale on Wednesday 3 December at 11 am via Live Nation and Ticketmaster. However, registered users of SMusic and Live Nation will be able to take advantage of an exclusive presale the previous day at the same time.
