The American band Mercury Rev have just confirmed that they will be touring Europe in October to celebrate the 25th anniversary of All Is Dream (2001), one of the most iconic albums of their career. The Buffalo-based band will tour the continent throughout October, with Mick Harvey and Amanda Acevedo supporting them for most of the tour, and Sand Bell providing special support in Spain.
Entitled ‘Celebrating 25 Years of “All Is Dream”, the tour focuses on their fifth studio album, which was released in 2001 following the success of Deserter’s Songs (1998). It will begin on 1 October in Lisbon, with a stop in Porto on the 2nd, before moving on to Spain. They will perform at the Sala Oasis in Zaragoza on 4 October, at the Sala Apolo in Barcelona on 5 October, at the Kafe Antzokia in Bilbao on 6 October, at the Sala Wagon in Madrid on 7 October, and the tour will conclude at the Sala Moon in Valencia on 8 October. After these five concerts, the European tour will continue through the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Denmark before ending on 29 October at the Gazarte venue in Athens.
Tickets for the five concerts in Spain will go on sale this week. The general sale begins on Friday 17 April at 11:00 on the Houston Party website. In addition, an exclusive pre-sale for the Barcelona and Madrid concerts will take place on Thursday 16 April at 11:00, ending at 11:00 on Friday 17 April, when the general sale begins.
