The Sónar 2025 organisation held a press conference this morning at the La Salle-URL campus to present the programme for the 13th edition of Sónar+D, the space where art, science and digital culture meet during the Catalan electronic music festival.
The event, which has served to strengthen and highlight the collaboration between the cultural sector and the various universities in Barcelona, has confirmed that the themes of this year’s edition will be “IA + Creativity“, “Futuring the Creative Industries” & “Worlds To Come“.
Among the activities to be highlighted are ‘Introducing AI & Music‘ powered by S+T+ARTS, the largest European gathering of music and AI experts; the third edition of +RAIN Film Festival, the film and AI festival co-produced by the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Sónar; talks such as Rebecca Fiebrink on accessibility in musical AI, or Julieta Wibel and creative technologist Mike Fernández together with artists such as Samantha Hudson and YESSi PERSE to analyse today’s digital pop aesthetics.
For more information on the programme, the various speakers and where to buy tickets for this edition of Sónar+D, which will take place on 12, 13 and 14 June, visit the festival’s official website.
