After announcing a series of artists in September and November, the organisers of Resurrection Fest have confirmed the day-by-day line-up for the 21st edition of the Galician festival. The event is set to take place from 1 to 4 July at the festival’s regular venue in Viveiro.
Wednesday’s standout acts include Sabaton with their epic metal, A Day to Remember with their blend of metalcore and melodic punk, Testament with their classic thrash metal, The Browning with their extreme electronic and deathcore, and High Vis with their hardcore and post-punk fusion.. On Thursday, the festival keeps the momentum going with Iron Maiden, this year’s headline act; Anthrax, one of the big names in thrash metal; Angelus Apatrida, a leading figure in the Spanish metal scene; Caliban, a German metalcore band; and Blues Pills, a psychedelic hard rock band with a 70s vibe and a post-punk sensibility.
Friday and Saturday are no slouches either, with iconic 90s bands taking to the stage. On Friday, Limp Bizkit will take to the stage with their nu metal and party vibe, followed by Trivium with their blend of metalcore and modern thrash. Also performing are Bleed From Within with their high-energy Scottish metalcore, Gaerea with their atmospheric black metal, and Borknagar with their progressive metal rooted in extreme genres.. The festival will draw to a close on Saturday with performances from Marilyn Manson, a leading industrial rock act; Mastodon, a leading prog/sludge band; P.O.D., an old-school nu-metal band; Converge, who play hardcore/metalcore; and A.A. Williams, who will perform her delicate music.
Single-day tickets will go on sale at 12 noon this Friday on the festival’s official website. Four-day passes are almost sold out.
