Just a few weeks after learning that the former Alma Festival was coming to an end because the organising company, Concert Studio, had filed for insolvency and put its business unit up for sale, we learnt today that the BARTS Festival will take its place in Barcelona’s summer programme. The BARTS Festival is an initiative launched by The Project, which is reviving a project from a decade ago under the name of the venue that is now known as Paral·lel 62.
Poble Espanyol will welcome a diverse range of international artists, including ZZ Top, BEAT (a supergroup featuring former King Crimson members Adrian Belew and Tony Levin, alongside guitarist Steve Vai and Tool drummer Danny Carey), Belle and Sebastian and Biffy Clyro. Spanish acts such as M-Clan, Joan Dausà, and Ojete Calor will also perform.
Tickets for the different concerts at the BARTS Festival, with prices from €38 to €70 depending on the artist, are now available on the festival’s official website.
