On 5 November, we enjoyed a night of dark electronic music at the Wolf venue in Barcelona. Primavera Tours organised the event, during which Curses unleashed their full sonic arsenal to transform the venue into a mist-shrouded club filled with distortion and pure industrial beats.

Accompanied by Dame Bonnet on bass and Mike Sachetti on drums, Luca Venezia‘s live performance demonstrated just how well post-punk guitars blend with the power of EBM and club electronica. In a concert whose setlist focused mainly on their latest album, Another Heaven (2024), the highlights came during the cacophony unleashed in ‘Caviar‘, where analogue and digital drums merged to take us into the realms of noise and death industrial for a few minutes.

The New York-born, Berlin-based project kept the audience hooked from start to finish with meticulously crafted staging, deep vocals and driving beats, combining atmospheric passages with real dancefloor bangers.

The evening began with a performance by the local band Tristana. Their rich synth sounds and flawless performance set the perfect mood for Curses. It was a thoroughly successful event that confirms the current resurgence of dark wave in Barcelona.
