In a striking shift in style, both musical and physical, from the artist we saw a few years ago at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indieofilo.com\/cronicas-conciertos\/guitarricadelafuente-19-de-julio-de-2023-alma-festival-jardins-pedralbes\">Poble Espanyol<\/a>, the opening songs \u2013 &#8216;<em>Full Time Papi<\/em>&#8216;, &#8216;<em>Calypso<\/em>&#8216; and &#8216;<em>Futuros amantes<\/em>&#8216; \u2013 <strong>set the tone for a concert that had its ups and downs, due to an erratic setlist that mixed his liveliest and most delicate and intense tracks haphazardly<\/strong>. A case in point is the inclusion of \u201c<em>Caballito<\/em>\u201d or \u201c<em>Pipe Dream<\/em>\u201d between \u201c<em>El conticinio<\/em>\u201d and \u201cPuerta del sol\u201d&#8230;  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After watching \u00c1lvaro wallow in the mud at the side of the stage as part of a somewhat disjointed performance, the summery &#8216;<em>Port Pelegr\u00ed<\/em>&#8216; <strong>sounded powerful and stood out as the best track of the night<\/strong>. The setlist then returned to his debut album with &#8216;<em>Mil y una noches<\/em>&#8216;, &#8216;<em>Agua y Mezcal<\/em>&#8216; and &#8216;<em>Guantanamera<\/em>&#8216;, <strong>which perhaps dampened the mood a little too much for a concert that had just started to embrace danceable rhythms<\/strong>. Thankfully, the Benic\u00e0ssim performance treated us to yet another twist in the show: a theatrical rendition of \u201c<em>Tramuntana<\/em>\u201d, complete with a Napoleon-style jacket. This was the perfect prelude to a spectacular finale, with most of the audience jumping along to the beat of \u201c<em>Babieca!<\/em>\u201d. Led by distorted guitars, they opened with \u201c<em>Catch These Fists<\/em>\u201d and the infectious chorus of \u201c<em>Wet Dream<\/em>\u201d, complete with clapping. They then jumped back and forth between their two released albums. <strong>Surprisingly, Hester Chambers played a minimal role, remaining discreetly in the background for almost the entire show<\/strong>. The first part of the concert was marred by poor sound quality, but this allowed <strong>Rhian Teasdale<\/strong> to showcase her vocal talents with her performance of &#8216;<em>Davina McCall<\/em>&#8216;. A new, much more up-tempo set then emerged with &#8216;<em>Pillow Talk<\/em>&#8216; and &#8216;Too Late Now&#8217;.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With the crowd in the palm of their hands and eager to jump and mosh, <strong>the final 15 minutes were a party<\/strong>.
