Seeing the evolution of the <strong>Ellie Rowsell<\/strong>-led band since we discovered them at the now distant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indieofilo.com\/cronicas-conciertos\/festivales\/london-calling-may-2014-9-de-mayo-de-2014-paradiso-amsterdam\">London Calling 2014 in Amsterdam<\/a> is surprising, to say the least. This is not only due to their aesthetic change, but also <strong>their adaptation towards much less forceful rhythms that bring them closer to more classical styles<\/strong>. Fronted by the incredible <strong>Christina Michelle<\/strong>, the band delivered a show full of rage.. <strong>The problem was that, weighed down by the still-biting sun in the sky, the general sound of the band \u2014 marked by rage and the power of the drums \u2014 prevented those arrangements and small details<\/strong> that elevate their <em>Deep Sage<\/em> (2024) to one of the best albums of last year from being appreciated. With just a couple of images displayed on the back screen, <strong>Tunde Adebimpe<\/strong>&#8216;s voice was the perfect guide to a show that was equally commanded by him and guitarist <strong>Kyp Malone<\/strong>. Amidst the ongoing and essential protests against Trump and in support of Palestine, <strong>their setlist progressed from lesser-known songs to a series of hits<\/strong>, opening with the well-known \u2018<em>Wolf Like Me<\/em>\u2019 and concluding with the powerful combination of \u2018<em>DLZ<\/em>\u2019 and \u2018<em>Halfway Home<\/em>\u2019. Despite <strong>Diego Iba\u00f1ez<\/strong> being on crutches due to a recent knee ligament operation, they gave one of their usual fast-paced concerts.. <strong>Their performance was a testament to the incredible health of Spanish bands, with attendance figures at Primavera Sound that rival those of legendary acts like Los Planetas. It was a sight to behold, with foreigners in the audience asking what the name of the band on stage was, while most were busy watching Sabrina Carpenter<\/strong>.. In a setlist focused on their latest album, <em>Elige tu propia aventura<\/em> (2024), which is a declaration of love for the city of Barcelona, the song \u2018<em>Misil<\/em>\u2019 stood out, as did references to the past in \u2018<em>Ni\u00f1a de hielo<\/em>\u2019 and \u2018<em>En verano<\/em>\u2019.  With everyone anticipating a performance by <strong>Rosalia<\/strong> or <strong>Amaia<\/strong> on &#8216;<em>Normal<\/em>&#8216; or &#8216;<em>Perdona<\/em>&#8216;, the band instead took the Forum by storm <strong>with a second part of the show that showcased their entire discography<\/strong>. This included their collaboration with <strong>Barry B<\/strong> in &#8216;<em>Yo pensaba que me hab\u00eda tocado Dios<\/em>&#8216; and the crowd-pleasing &#8216;<em>Las canciones de Juanita<\/em>&#8216;, with which they concluded the concert.<strong> Undoubtedly the most popular concert outside of the main stages! A set and match point for the Madrid band!<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>High Vis<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As the body craved more, the British band <strong>High Vis<\/strong> appeared to be a satisfactory option to maintain one&#8217;s ebullient momentum and execute a pogo. <strong>Their light hardcore, which sometimes sounds like Britpop and at other times comes close to the Happy Mondays themselves, fused with the night&#8217;s atmosphere<\/strong> thanks above all to their magnetic singer  <strong>Graham Sayle.<\/strong> Their setlist featured a selection of tracks from their three studio albums. The highlights were \u2018<em>Altitude<\/em>\u2019 and \u2018<em>Walking Wires<\/em>\u2019, and the powerful finale of \u2018<em>The Bastard Inside<\/em>\u2019 and \u2018<em>Choose to Lose<\/em>\u2019, both of which are from their debut album, <em>No Sense No Feeling<\/em> (2019). Above all, however, the superb &#8216;<em>Mob DLA<\/em>&#8216; stands out. We decided to squeeze into the packed Amazon Music stage to see if <strong>Samuel Shepherd, performing under the name Floating Points, would dare to bring a classical orchestra to perform his recently released music<\/strong>, including the incredible <em>Cascade<\/em> (2024), as part of his live show at the PS. Much to our disappointment, <strong>we were once again treated to a live DJ set<\/strong>, this time accompanied by an artist who created images instantly with tempera.
