{"id":469,"date":"2014-09-18T16:48:38","date_gmt":"2014-09-18T14:48:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/testing.indieofilo.com\/?p=469"},"modified":"2023-09-22T00:27:22","modified_gmt":"2023-09-21T22:27:22","slug":"first-names-announced-for-cross-linx-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.indieofilo.com\/en\/news\/first-names-announced-for-cross-linx-2015","title":{"rendered":"First names announced for Cross-linx 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<strong>Mark Lanegan<\/strong> and electronic <strong>Squarepusher <\/strong>have been confirmed for the 2015 edition of Dutch indie-classical Cross-linx festival, that will take place from February 11<sup>th<\/sup> to 14<sup>th<\/sup> throughout the Netherlands.&nbsp;The festival, that explores unexpected connexions between composed &lsquo;new&rsquo; music and artists from the avant-garde pop scene, presented last year <em>&Oacute;lafur Arnalds<\/em> and Jos&eacute; Gonz&aacute;lez, while other years crowd enjoyed with <em>The National, Patrick Watson, Nico Muhly, Owen Pallett, Eels, Efterklang, The Ex, My Brightest Diamond<\/em> or <em>Yann Tierssen<\/em>, among others.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n\t<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"cross-linx-logo\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-470\" height=\"283\" src=\"http:\/\/indieofilo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/cross-linx-logo.jpg\" style=\"\" title=\"\" width=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.indieofilo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/cross-linx-logo.jpg 480w, https:\/\/www.indieofilo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/cross-linx-logo-300x177.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\tMark Lanegan, as a frontman of the Screaming Trees, was one of the defining people of grunge, while his solo-performances these days are full of intense and narrative. On the other hand, Tom Jenkinson, best known as Squarepusher, has been at the forefront of British techno since the eighties. For Cross-linx, both Squarepusher and Lanegan will be co-operating with the <strong>Dutch Metropole Orchestra<\/strong>. Other confirmed names include <strong>Bryce Dessner<\/strong> (guitar player with <strong>The National<\/strong>), Finnish <strong>Pekka Kuusisto<\/strong>, French <strong>Aufgang <\/strong>and American <strong>Nadia Sirota<\/strong>, with more program to be announced soon.
