Neither their two excellent records nor their more than justified live fame managed to attract the public of the Catalan city to which <strong>without a doubt it was one of the concerts of a 2017 that is close to end<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Algiers Barcelona 2017\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11075\" height=\"500\" src=\"http:\/\/indieofilo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/algiers-3.jpg\" width=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.indieofilo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/algiers-3.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.indieofilo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/algiers-3-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.indieofilo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/algiers-3-768x480.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size:10px;\">Photo taken from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Algierstheband\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Algiers&#39;&nbsp;facebook profile<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\tThe one in charge of opening the night was her compatriot <strong>Hiro Kone<\/strong>, who with a <strong>successful set of minimalist experimental electronics<\/strong> made us fear the worst due to annoying reverberations of bass that happened in the final part of a room covered with canvas.. However, as if by magic, as soon as the now quartet with the union of the unrecognizable <strong>ex-Bloc Party Matt Tong<\/strong> jumped on stage, all suspicions disappeared, <strong>as the industrial post-punk of Atlanta&#39;s band quickly conquered the room<\/strong>. Nowadays, it is difficult to find bands that fill up the stage like Algiers, with a <strong>Franklin James Fisher<\/strong> unleashed in the voices that only seems to calm down slightly as soon as he sits down to his Wurlitzer piano and a spasmodic <strong>Ryan Mahan<\/strong> who seems to live a continuous internal struggle between to play the bass, to launch electronic rhythms or to dance like a fifteen year old on the Spanish techno route..<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Algiers 2017\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11076\" height=\"450\" src=\"http:\/\/indieofilo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/algiers.jpg\" width=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.indieofilo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/algiers.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.indieofilo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/algiers-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.indieofilo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/algiers-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size:10px;\">Photo taken from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Algierstheband\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Algiers&#39;&nbsp;facebook profile<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\tBeyond the stage presence, their i<strong>ntense 60-minute concert had few moments of calm<\/strong> after an overwhelming start with &quot;<em>Animals<\/em>&quot;, &quot;<em>Walk Like a Panther<\/em>&quot; and his intro with <strong>Fred Hampton<\/strong>&#39;s speech to his son or &quot;<em>Cry of the Martyrs<\/em>&quot;, demonstrating that <strong>they perfectly transfer the anger and the message of their combative lyrics to the live proposal<\/strong>. However, from &quot;<em>Irony. Utility. Pretext<\/em>&quot; the <strong>concert would resume its cruising speed<\/strong> thanks to a greater presence of a <strong>superb Matt Tong from the drums<\/strong>, reaching Georgia&rsquo;s state band an incredible sound that resembles the perfect blend of the electronics of <strong>Health<\/strong>, the attitude of <strong>Savages<\/strong> and the new soul tone by <strong>Benjamine Clementine<\/strong>.
